The reply to the hiker
You are a hiker that's right.
You have crossed bridges and climbed mountains of greatest heights;
Wounded, bruised, shattered and punched;
You really stood and put your guards up.
But you are not a born-hiker, please don't deny;
Perhaps, you are bare the first time you arrived;
Have no strength nor will to rely;
Don't you wonder you're still alive?
You longed for water and I provided you the dew;
The sweetest form of moisture, I made just for you.
You called for hunger and the wild taste of nature provided you
Isn't that enough to continue and pursue?
I wove the clouds to make a shelter;
Protected you from harm and danger;
The breaking of dawn signs a beginning;
From a long night rest and restoring.
Your time spent for worries,
What makes you think you are foolish?
Your weary shoulders and broken feet;
I assure you, time will cure it bit by bit.
And you know what is so unfair?
That you haven't read the plan I prepared;
Because I have laid all the reasons behind;
I never wanted you to be a faithful blind.
Going north, going south…What is the difference?
Wherever you go, you will feel my presence.
When mountains are too high and there is difficulty in your climb;
I will provide you a rock to continue your hike.
You have crossed bridges and lose blood during your climb;
But can't you see? I have lost my life during our hike,
You are wounded, bruised, shattered and punched;
But I took most of the blows during the fight.
And when you come to rest for tomorrow you have to hike,
I still have to be awake and watch you all night;
Because I don't want to hear you crying;
And I don't want to see you bruised up.
Now tell me, when will you realize
That I am near and was never far?
